Dr. Demetrius Evriviades is a British Consultant Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon and retired Wing Commander of the Royal Air Force Medical Branch, with 22 years of military service including active duty in Northern Ireland and Afghanistan. He trained at Liverpool Medical School and completed his plastic surgery training in the UK, with international fellowships in head and neck surgery, microvascular reconstruction, oculoplastic, and aesthetic surgery in Canada, Chile, and the UK.
Appointed Consultant at University Hospitals Birmingham NHS Trust in 2008, he led the reconstruction of war-injured service personnel from the Afghan conflict. He provides a comprehensive facial paralysis service and specializes in advanced skin cancer surgery of the head and neck. Dr. Evriviades has a particular interest in amputee rehabilitation, pioneering Targeted Muscle Reinnervation for neuroma and phantom limb pain, and serving as Clinical Lead of the Birmingham Amputee Clinic and Plastic Surgery Lead for the Osseointegrated Implant Service for veterans.
