Dr. Amulya Saxena is an award‑winning Consultant in Neonatal and Pediatric Surgery at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, Imperial College London, and the Past President of the European Pediatric Surgeons’ Association (EUPSA). He is also the Editor‑in‑Chief of the Journal of Pediatric Endoscopic Surgery. He trained in pediatric and neonatal surgery at the Medical University of Münster, Germany, and served as Deputy Director of Pediatric Surgery at the University of Graz, Austria, following a Research Fellowship at Boston Children’s Hospital, Harvard Medical School.
Dr. Saxena specializes in the surgical management of premature and neonatal babies and complex congenital malformations, with expertise in chest wall deformities, advanced minimal access surgery (laparoscopy and thoracoscopy), and pediatric gynecology. He has performed advanced procedures in over 20 countries and has received prestigious European and international awards for his scientific contributions. He is the author and editor of two textbooks, including Essentials of Pediatric Endoscopic Surgery and Chest Wall Deformities, and has published numerous peer‑reviewed articles and book chapters.
Dr. Saxena directs European Laparoscopy and Thoracoscopy Courses across the UK, Latvia, Serbia, Romania, Azerbaijan, and Switzerland. He chairs the EUPSA European Consensus Statement Committee and STEPS Seminars and serves on the WOFAPS Scholarship Committee. He has gained extensive international experience across Europe, the USA, and Japan.
