Consultant Intensive Care
Dr. Pamela Sáenz is a Consultant in Intensive Care currently practicing at Yas Clinic, Abu Dhabi. She is a Spanish board-certified Intensive Care specialist with over a decade of experience in high-acuity, multidisciplinary ICU settings. Dr. Sáenz has led critical care services in major tertiary hospitals, managing complex conditions such as sepsis and respiratory failure. She is highly experienced in advanced life support and critical care management. During the COVID-19 pandemic, she played a key leadership role in frontline ICU services. Her expertise also includes ICU governance, protocol development, and clinical training.
Consultant Hematologist & Bone Marrow Transplant
Dr. Emmanouil Nikolousis is a UK board‑certified Consultant Hematologist with over 18 years of experience in clinical hematology and bone marrow transplantation. He completed his hematology and transplant training in the West Midlands, UK, and later served as Clinical Director of Hematology and Stem Cell Transplantation at Heartlands Hospital, University Hospitals Birmingham. Under his leadership, the Hematology Department received the Team of the Year award in 2019 for delivering innovative, patient‑centered care.
He also held senior international roles, including serving as Director of the Cancer Center and Consultant Hematologist & Bone Marrow Transplant Specialist at American Hospital Dubai. In addition, he worked in Greece and Cyprus, where he served as Associate Professor of Hematology and Chair of the Medical School at the European University of Cyprus.
Dr. Nikolousis was a long‑standing member of the UK Acute Leukemia Working Party for 10 years and has extensive experience across both benign and malignant hematology. His clinical expertise includes hematological malignancies, myeloproliferative disorders, aplastic anemia and PNH, thrombophilia, and stem cell transplantation and cellular therapies.
