Dr. Sonja Cerovac

Dr. Sonja is a highly experienced Plastic and Hand Surgeon with a career spanning over three decades, specializing in aesthetic surgery, skin cancer and hand surgery.
Sonja’s cosmetic surgery practice is focused on surgical procedures aiming for rejuvenation of face, breast and body, rather than non-operative, aesthetic beautifications. Her dual training in upper limb surgery enables her to competently manage hand and wrist conditions, injuries as well as chronic problems. She is skilled in general aspects of plastic and reconstructive surgery, from complex soft tissue reconstruction to cosmetic scar revisions and skin lumps / bumps removals.
Dr. Sonja’s Consultant career began in 2008 at St George’s Hospital in London, a major Level I trauma and teaching centre, where she served as Head of the Plastic Surgery Department from 2019 to 2022. She has been practicing at Mediclinic City Hospital in Dubai since 2024.
After graduating from Belgrade University Medical School in Serbia and moving to the UK, Sonja became a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of England in 1998. She completed plastic surgery training in South London, aesthetic fellowship at the McIndoe Surgical Centre, orthopaedic wrist fellowship at Wrightington Hospital, and hand fellowship at Windsor Hand Clinic by 2008. She was awarded a degree of Master in Surgical Science from the University of London for postgraduate research in flexor tendon surgery.

Dr. Richard Baker

Dr. Richard Baker, M.B.B.Chir., F.R.C.S.(Plast.), is a Consultant Plastic Surgeon in the Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery Division at Sheikh Shakhbout Medical City (SSMC) in Abu Dhabi. A UK-trained surgeon with over 22 years of experience, he specializes in hand and wrist surgery, trauma surgery, pediatric plastic surgery, and cosmetic procedures, including skin removal after weight loss. He earned his medical degree from the University of Cambridge in 2000 and a Master of Arts (M.A. Cantab.) in Biological Anthropology in 2001.
Dr. Baker was awarded a research MD from the University of London in 2008 for his work on reducing post-surgical scarring and became a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons (F.R.C.S. Plast.) in 2012. He completed specialist fellowships in hand and wrist surgery at Nottingham University Hospitals and reconstructive cosmetic surgery at the University Hospitals of Leicester. Dr. Demetrius Evriviades
