Dr. Pedro Quaresma is a European Board‑Certified Consultant in Nuclear Medicine with over 19 years of experience in both diagnostic and therapeutic nuclear medicine. He has extensive expertise in conventional nuclear medicine, SPECT‑CT, and PET‑CT across oncological and non‑oncological applications. His primary clinical focus is PET‑CT oncological imaging, particularly using 18F‑FDG, along with advanced imaging in orthopaedics, neurology, and cardiology.
Dr. Quaresma previously served as Head of the Nuclear Medicine Department at the Portuguese Armed Forces Hospital. He has also held academic appointments as an invited lecturer in Cardiology at the Nova School of Science and Technology and in Pathophysiology at Nova Medical School in Lisbon. In addition, he is an active speaker at international nuclear medicine conferences across Europe and Dubai, contributing to education, training, and knowledge exchange within the field.
Dr. Gonçalo Ferreira

Dr. Gonçalo Ferreira is a Consultant in Nuclear Medicine with extensive expertise in both diagnostic and therapeutic Nuclear Medicine, currently practicing at Burjeel Medical City in Abu Dhabi. Before relocating to the UAE, he worked at the Portuguese Institute of Oncology (IPO) in Porto. His clinical practice is distinguished by advanced work in hybrid imaging, including PET/CT and SPECT/CT, as well as radionuclide therapies.
Dr. Ferreira was co‑responsible for the endocrine tumors program within the Department of Nuclear Medicine at IPO Porto and played a pivotal role in advancing nuclear medicine therapies in Portugal. He implemented Peptide Receptor Radionuclide Therapy (PRRT) for neuroendocrine tumors at Atrys Porto and collaborated in the first‑ever Lutetium‑PSMA treatment for prostate cancer in Portugal, marking a significant national milestone in theranostics.
