Dr. Yousar Jafar

Dr. Yousar Jafar is a Consultant Radiologist specializing in Breast and Gynaecological Imaging at Tawam Hospital in Al Ain, the largest oncology facility in the UAE. She previously served as a Consultant Women’s Imaging Radiologist at the Nottingham Breast Institute in the UK, where she also completed a Women’s Imaging Fellowship.

Dr. Jafar has extensive expertise in all aspects of breast imaging, including symptomatic and screening cases, as well as advanced interventional procedures such as contrast‑enhanced spectral mammography and MRI‑guided breast biopsies. She has a particular interest in Gynaecological Oncology and completed her specialist training at the University Hospital of Wales, alongside the National Breast Imaging Academy Fellowship in Women’s Imaging.

She held a Consultant position at the Nottingham Breast Institute at August 2020, gaining substantial experience across both breast and gynaecological subspecialties. Dr. Jafar served as Past President of the Society of Radiologists in Training from 2017 to 2019, reflecting her leadership and professional commitment.

She is a strong advocate for women’s health, particularly within Middle Eastern communities, and is actively involved in public health initiatives aimed at raising awareness of women’s health issues and improving access to early detection and care.
