Consultant ENT Surgeon
Prof. Oladejo Olaleye is a Consultant ENT, Head & Neck, Thyroid, and Robotic Surgeon currently practicing at University Hospital Sharjah. Before relocating to the UAE, he served as a Consultant at University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust since 2020.
He completed higher specialty training in Otolaryngology – Head & Neck Surgery through the West Midlands Training Programme in the UK. Prof. Olaleye undertook advanced international fellowships in Complex Head & Neck Surgery and Transoral Robotic Surgery in the UK and Australia. With over 15 years of progressive surgical training in tertiary referral centers, he had extensive expertise in managing both benign and malignant head and neck conditions. His key interests include transoral robotic surgery for early throat cancers and comprehensive thyroid and parathyroid surgery. He was experienced in advanced procedures such as neck dissections, salivary gland surgery, total laryngectomy, and reconstructive techniques including pectoralis major flap reconstruction. Prof. Olaleye also performed microlaryngoscopy, vocal cord lesion excision, and panendoscopy procedures.
His practice encompasses functional endoscopic sinus surgery, septoplasty, and management of obstructive sleep apnea. In addition, he provided a wide range of general ENT services, including tracheostomy, flexible nasendoscopy, treatment of nasal fractures and epistaxis, ear microsuction, foreign body removal, and drainage of neck and peritonsillar abscesses.
Consultant Emergency Medicine
Dr. Mohammed Fadhel is a Consultant in Emergency Medicine and currently serves as Head of the Emergency Department at University Hospital of Sharjah. He brings over 20 years of clinical experience in emergency medicine, combining strong leadership with extensive frontline expertise. Dr. Fadhel earned his MBChB from the University of Baghdad in 1998 and later obtained PLAB certification from the General Medical Council in 2004. He is a Fellow of the Royal College of Emergency Medicine (FRCEM) and achieved his Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) in 2020.
In addition to his clinical responsibilities, Dr. Fadhel is an ATLS and ultrasound instructor with a strong commitment to medical education and training. He also served as a Clinical Lead in emergency care, with significant experience in departmental management, service development, and quality improvement.

Dr. Azam Kasis is a Consultant Pulmonologist with over 15 years of clinical experience in respiratory medicine. He worked at esteemed hospitals in the United Kingdom, including Aintree University Hospital in Liverpool. Dr. Kasis is a member of several leading professional bodies, including the General Medical Council, British Thoracic Society, British Sleep Society, UK Pleural Society, and the Medical Defence Union.
He has actively participated in major conferences such as the ERS Breathing and Sleep Meetings and BTS Summer Meetings, and has completed advanced training in difficult lung diseases, pulmonary vascular disease, asthma, and chronic cough. His clinical interests include chronic cough, shortness of breath, airway diseases, asthma, COPD, and bronchiectasis. He also specializes in sleep‑related breathing disorders, including obstructive sleep apnea and obesity hypoventilation syndrome.
Dr. Kasis has expertise in managing acute and chronic respiratory failure, including non‑invasive ventilation, as well as pulmonary vascular diseases. His scope of practice further includes lung cancer diagnosis, interstitial and pleural diseases, pulmonary infections, bronchoscopy, and advanced pleural procedures.
