Dr. Hammad Bajwa

Dr. Hammad Bajwa is a UK‑trained Consultant Endocrinologist with nearly 20 years of experience in senior clinical and leadership roles across the UK and the Middle East. He is currently based in Dubai at King’s College Hospital, where he serves as a Consultant Endocrinologist. He previously held Consultant and Lead for Diabetes positions at Russells Hall Hospital, Dudley (UK), and at Habib Medical Group / Takhassusi Hospital in Riyadh, where he established innovative services including an Insulin Pump Clinic and led major quality improvement initiatives such as the Community Diabetes Service in Dudley. His clinical expertise spans Type 1 and Type 2 diabetes, advanced insulin pump therapy, thyroid disorders (including thyroid cancer), pituitary and adrenal diseases, reproductive endocrinology, metabolic bone disease, and obesity.

Dr. Bajwa obtained his MBBS in Pakistan and completed higher specialist training in Endocrinology and Diabetes in Birmingham, UK. He is a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians of Edinburgh and a Member of the American College of Physicians. He has a strong academic and research profile, serving as Principal Investigator for the international O‑Sema Fast Study on diabetes management during Ramadan, with multiple presentations at regional, national, and international conferences. He has also contributed extensively to medical education, serving as an Educational Supervisor and Mentor for Endocrinology fellows in Birmingham, participating in NHS guideline development groups, and being named a finalist for the UK Health Service Award (2017) for excellence in quality improvement.
