Dr. Ioana Virtej is a Specialist in Endocrinology and Diabetes with over 20 years of clinical experience. She earned her medical degree from the University of Medicine in Bucharest, Romania, in 1995 and completed her Consultant training in Endocrinology and Diabetes in 2004. Dr. Virtej has practiced internationally, working in private practice in Greece and later within the UK National Health Service. She has also held an academic role as a university professor in Romania and is a prolific author of more than 150 scientific articles. In addition, she has co-authored eight specialty textbooks in Endocrinology. Dr. Virtej is multilingual, speaking English, Greek, Romanian, and German, and has a special interest in diabetes and general endocrinology.
