Dr. Nick Marsden

Dr. Nick Marsden, FRCS (Plast), MD, is a Consultant in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at Sheikh Shakhbout Medical City in Abu Dhabi, with 16 years of clinical experience. He is a UK-trained surgeon with specialist expertise in reconstructive microsurgery, particularly in the management of complex traumatic lower limb injuries, alongside a broad scope of general plastic surgery procedures. Dr. Marsden obtained his medical degree and BSc in Anatomy from Cardiff University and completed his plastic surgery training at the Welsh Centre for Burns and Plastic Surgery, achieving Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons of England. He also holds a research MD from Swansea University, earned during his tenure as a clinical research fellow with the National Institute for Social Care and Health Research. His advanced fellowship training includes microsurgical reconstructive roles in Melbourne, Australia, and senior lower limb reconstruction training in Bristol, UK. A former UK consultant, Dr. Marsden is an active contributor to the specialty through international presentations, invited lectures, and peer-reviewed publications, ensuring his practice reflects the latest advances in reconstructive surgery.
