Dr. Suresh Annamalai

Dr. Suresh Annamalai is a UK-trained Consultant Paediatric Orthopaedic Surgeon with over 10 years of post-specialisation experience in elective and trauma paediatric orthopaedics. He provides expert, compassionate care for children with bone, joint, and muscle conditions, now practicing in Dubai. He previously held consultant roles at University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust and Birmingham Children’s Hospital, also as Clinical Lead for the Neuromuscular and DDH services in Leicester and currently, as a Consultant Pediatric Orthopedic Surgeon at King’s College Hospital Dubai.

Dr. Annamalai completed his MBBS, Diploma in Orthopaedics, and obtained FRCS (Trauma and Orthopaedics) in 2013, followed by subspecialty fellowships in Young Hip surgery and Paediatric Orthopaedics. He served as Equality and Diversity Lead and Board Member for the British Society for Children’s Orthopaedic Surgery (BSCOS) and contributed to its global partnerships.

A dedicated educator, he taught at FRCS examinations and national paediatric orthopaedic courses, and is actively involved in research with multiple peer-reviewed publications. He pioneered the use of the femoral brace for femur fractures in Leicester and has a strong focus on holistic care for children. His clinical expertise covers neuromuscular conditions, cerebral palsy, DDH, complex limb deformities, gait problems, clubfoot, paediatric trauma, and chronic musculoskeletal pain.

Beyond surgery, Dr. Annamalai is a published author, advocating for children’s well-being through his book, “The Well-Being Adventure: Unlocking the Happy You.” His approach combines clinical excellence, innovation, and compassionate, child-centered care.
