Dr. Asra Karim is a UK-trained Consultant Nephrologist with fellowship training in renal transplantation. She completed her specialist training in the UK and previously worked at Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham, a leading tertiary renal centre. Her clinical expertise spans chronic and acute kidney disease, haemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis, renal transplantation, anaemia of CKD, hypertension, renal diabetes, and glomerular kidney diseases. She has a special interest in the management of advanced kidney disease and provides comprehensive, patient-centered care across the full renal journey. Dr. Karim is experienced in interventional nephrology, including tunneled dialysis catheter insertion and kidney biopsy. Her academic interests focus on dialysis innovation and transplant outcomes, with contributions to peer-reviewed publications and international conference presentations.
