Dr. Alaa El-Ghobashy

Dr. Alaa El‑Ghobashy, MD, MRCOG, is a Consultant Gynecologist and Gynecological Oncologist with subspecialty training in Gynecological Oncology from Leeds, UK. He earned his MD from the University of Liverpool in 2005 and subsequently served as a consultant in NHS England for more than 14 years. Dr. El‑Ghobashy has extensive expertise in the surgical management of ovarian, uterine, cervical, and vulval cancers, as well as benign gynecological conditions including endometriosis, fibroids, and pelvic organ prolapse.

He is an expert in robotic gynecological surgery, with over a decade of experience in both benign and malignant cases. His academic contributions include peer‑reviewed publications, book chapters, and the editing of two textbooks on robotic surgery. His clinical services encompass colposcopy, laparoscopy, hysteroscopy, management of ectopic pregnancies and miscarriages, vulval disease care, contraception, and hormone therapy. Dr. El‑Ghobashy is a member of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, London, and serves as Associate Medical Lead for the English Lynch Syndrome Transformation Project within the Central and South Genomic Service Alliance.
