Dr. Dana Ihsan is a Swedish Board‑certified Consultant Psychiatrist with over 10 years of clinical experience. He earned his medical degree from Umeå University in 2009 and obtained his medical license from the Swedish National Board of Health and Welfare in 2013. He completed his residency in General Adult Psychiatry at the University Hospital of Umeå and pursued additional psychotherapy training at Umeå University.
In 2020, he was accredited as a Board‑certified Specialist in General Psychiatry by the Swedish Board of Health and Welfare. Dr. Dana has served as a Senior Consultant Psychiatrist across multiple inpatient units, including psychotic, geriatric, and affective disorders. He has also held senior roles in emergency and assessment psychiatry, as well as neuropsychiatry outpatient services.
In 2023, he was appointed the most responsible psychiatrist across several specialty units, including neuropsychiatry, affective disorders, eating disorders, anxiety disorders, and PTSD services. His clinical expertise spans a wide range of conditions, including depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, personality disorders, and addiction. He also manages ADHD, autism spectrum disorder, learning disabilities, eating disorders, PTSD, burnout, phobias, and complex psychiatric comorbidities. Dr. Dana is a member of the Swedish Psychiatric Association and currently practices at Novomed in Dubai, where he brings his extensive expertise and compassionate, patient‑centred approach to the region.
