Before joining Mediclinic Parkview Hospital, he served at King’s College Hospital London in Dubai, where he also held roles as Research Lead and Head of the Ethics Committee.
He trained at leading UK institutions, earning a BSc in Human Biology from King’s College London, a medical degree from the University of Southampton, and a Master’s in Surgical Education from Imperial College London. He completed his UK specialist training and was awarded FRCS (England) and CCT.

Dr. Julia Ellert, MD, is a Consultant Interventional Cardiologist at Mediclinic Parkview Hospital, holding a Doctor of Medicine degree from the Technical University of Munich and German board certification in Internal Medicine and Cardiology. She completed advanced training and fellowship in Interventional Cardiology and Transcatheter Aortic Valve Implantation (TAVI) at the German Heart Center in Munich, with a focus on invasive treatment of ischemic heart disease and aortic valve disease. Dr. Ellert later served as a Consultant Interventional Cardiologist and TAVI specialist at Odense University Hospital in Denmark, one of Scandinavia’s leading cardiac centers. She has extensive experience in acute and complex cardiac care, including cardiogenic shock management, Impella implantation, ECMO-supported E-CPR, and 24/7 emergency interventions. Her procedural expertise includes complex PCI, left main and bifurcation interventions, physiology- and imaging-guided PCI, lithotripsy, and rotational atherectomy, with over 3,500 PCI procedures and more than 5,000 coronary angiographies performed. In structural heart disease, she has planned and performed over 1,000 transfemoral TAVI procedures and holds Interventional Cardiology certifications from both the EAPCI and the German Society of Cardiology.
