Dr. Saleh Hessen

Dr. Saleh is a highly experienced endocrinologist with extensive expertise in the management and follow‑up of all types of diabetes, including complex cases and gestational diabetes mellitus (GDM). He has advanced knowledge in insulin pump therapy and continuous glucose monitoring (CGM), ensuring optimal care for patients using diabetes technologies. He also leads a multidisciplinary team (MDT) in the treatment and follow‑up of diabetic foot ulcers (DFU).

Dr. Saleh specializes in the management of complicated hypertension and disorders of lipid metabolism. His practice includes comprehensive care of thyroid diseases, pituitary disorders (both hyper‑ and hypopituitarism), and adrenal diseases such as Addison’s disease, primary hyperaldosteronism, pheochromocytomas, and paragangliomas. He is highly experienced in managing puberty disorders and performing stimulation and suppression tests for pituitary and adrenal gland assessment.

In addition, he manages parathyroid diseases, calcium and vitamin D metabolism, and provides long‑term care for patients with osteoporosis. Dr. Saleh is academically active and recently published a research article in the Sterility and Infertility Journal on adrenal steroid profiling to differentiate PCOS from non‑classical congenital adrenal hyperplasia.
