Dr. Mayada Elnegouly is a German board-certified Consultant Gastroenterologist and Hepatologist with over 18 years of combined clinical and academic experience. She is an Assistant Professor of Gastroenterology and Hepatology and has trained and practiced at leading tertiary university hospitals in Egypt and Germany, including Cairo University Hospitals and Klinikum rechts der Isar at the Technical University of Munich. She currently practices within large, well-established hospital systems in the United Arab Emirates, delivering patient-centered, evidence-based, and multidisciplinary care. Dr. Elnegouly has extensive expertise in diagnostic and advanced therapeutic endoscopy, including EMR, FTRD, EUS with FNA/FNB, bariatric endoscopy, and the management of gastrointestinal bleeding. Her subspecialty interests include GERD, gastrointestinal motility and functional disorders, inflammatory bowel disease with biologic therapies, and pancreaticobiliary diseases. She also has broad hepatology expertise, including fatty and autoimmune liver diseases, liver transplantation care, and gastrointestinal oncology within multidisciplinary cancer teams.
