Dr. Dheeraj Giri is a UK-trained Consultant Cardiothoracic Radiologist and Clinical Informatics leader currently practicing at American Hospital Dubai. He completed advanced fellowship training at Royal Papworth Hospital and has held senior leadership roles, including Deputy Medical Director for Artificial Intelligence at East Midlands Radiology Consortium. Dr. Giri specializes in integrating safe, clinically validated AI across healthcare systems, combining expertise in radiology, digital transformation, and health-system strategy.

He has contributed to national AI policy and governance through advisory roles with the NHS AI Lab, membership in the Royal College of Radiologists AI Committee, and participation in the Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency AI Airlock Project. His clinical expertise includes advanced cardiothoracic imaging such as CT coronary angiography, cardiac MRI, and high-resolution CT. In his current role, he leads clinical informatics initiatives, helping shape digital strategy and AI implementation. Dr. Giri’s work focuses on AI governance, validation, and ethical deployment in clinical practice.
